INTRODUCTION
We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Manager to lead the digital commerce strategy for a fast-growing consumer products company.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, overseeing the company's eCommerce platform, user experience, website optimization, CRM initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will drive online growth by improving customer engagement, increasing conversion rates, and building a high-performing eCommerce team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute eCommerce strategy
- Manage end-to-end website development and operations
- Lead website optimization and experimentation initiatives
- Develop retention and customer loyalty strategies
- Monitor eCommerce trends and competitor activities
- Manage platform stability, security, and scalability
- Lead UX improvements through testing and analytics
- Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams
- Lead and mentor designers, engineers and product managers
- Communicate eCommerce vision across the organization
- Promote innovation and customer-centric thinking
- Analyze CRM and marketing performance data
- Report business performance and CRM results to stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
- Native-level Japanese and Business English
- 5+ years of experience leading eCommerce for a consumer brand
- Strong understanding of Japanese eCommerce trends
- Experience managing website production, CMS and online store operations
- Experience with inventory management and sales promotion planning
- Experience writing product specifications and user stories
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience improving conversion rate and website performance
- Excellent stakeholder and team management skills
